Happy, Happy Day!

Hey Elliott! I'm sorry the package from me didn't arrive in time for your birthday but glad your mom's did. So that you don't have to wait any longer, I'm posting the picture we took before we stuffed the box. These are the beanie babies that Adrianne, Emily, Sarah and Danny collected and played with when they were little (well, in the case of Emily, when she was younger :).

We thought perhaps you might like to hand them out while traveling in the desert as a gesture of goodwill.

We are all so overwhelmed with the knowledge of seeing you home safely sooner than we expected, you've thrown everyone in to a tizzy! I cannot wait to give you a hug and spend time with you. Bailey is also super excited. She can't wait to re-watch the finales of LOST and Survivor in the corner of the couch with you.

Happy Birthday. . . . . . . to your wife!

Remember the anticipation the night before your birthday, when you can't help but hope your birthday is remembered and shared with the people you love? I know you know that Adrianne misses you every day and she was extra sad the night before her birthday. I was so glad that you thought to have your mom bring the box and the note about the bike. Being able to see it and know that it was connected to you for her made her happier.

A foot of snow overnight, almost four :)

Remember how exciting the possibility of a SNOW DAY was when you were in school? Well, we had one today and good thing, as the snow was at least a foot deep. Adrianne and I shoveled the walk and driveway, seeing as you guys won't have that opportunity at your home next winter :)

Couch Time!

Hi Elliott! Remember in 2007 when you and Adrianne were in town for only 48 hours! And you started your visit with a turkey/avocado sandwich and then a nap on the couch before we had a cookout? Miss you, love you and can't wait to see you back on the couch again!

Remember last year at Christmas when I wanted to take a family picture and Sarah had just gotten her wisdom teeth out and didn't want her swollen face photographed so the compromise was everyone would hold a present over half their face and you covered up your whole face? HA!

We all missed you so much this year and I'm so glad that the presents arrived on time, even though you had to unload the trucks in the middle of the night. You even got to wear your christmas pj's! Thanks so much for sending the e-mail with pictures, you on Santa's lap is my absolute favorite!
